In the fall of 1994 some friends from three different universities decided to get together and start an internet company in Baltimore. L.I.S. and soon after Planet Communications were born and quickly morphed into website creation, hosting and custom application companies.

Another two years brought a merger with a client who had a telephone PBX with some rudimentary Internet connection potential, which brought our focus squarely onto the rapidly expanding Internet telephone convergence industry. This attracted the attention of a public telephone company in Atlanta and most of the team moved south following an acquisition. After a short while working in the large corporate culture, many of us grew restless and Wireboard was born of a handful of engineers, designers, project managers and one customer advocate.

In 2006 James and Catherine Leitess realized a long-time dream to move to the Rockies, arriving in Steamboat Springs and bringing Wireboard with us. We still consult and work occasionally integrating the skilled work of other long time colleagues over the net. James brings the long-term and vast perspective of someone who's been passionate about the internet and its growth and development since its inception. Catherine brings a focused ear, listening to customers needs and aiding in the concepting, UI and copy writing phases.
